headers

Postby monzaS/P » Mon Jan 22, 2007 2:41 pm

Help! Am bulding a 421 sbc for my 79 Monza. I realize header selection is somewhat limited. Can anyone tell me if the 2129's are still the only headers I can use? I have tied the frames all the together, using hooker front mounts, and converted to rack and pinion steering. Does this open a window of opportunity to use a wider range of headers ie... camaro,Nova,G-body etc? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

With your combination you almost certainly want to go with Stahls. Anything less and you'd be killing horsepower. But be prepared to dig deep. They are very pricey, but well worth it.

I'm with Jim on this. You've made a big commitment with the engine you've built. It's worth it to get a quality set of headers. It's just a few hundred more... Damn it's always like that isn't it?

It wouldn't hurt to talk to a custom header builder too to fab something that optimizes your setup. Get the most bang for your buck...
