vega chassis question

hi,,,wondering how much power s stock 73 vega chassis will handle,,,the car has a 12 bolt rear ,,,,i know i had one about 12 years ago and i ripped the lower control arms out of it,,but that car was pretty bad shape,,,,also what can be done to the chassis to makr it handle more hp besides tubbing it out

i have a 72 vega with 4 control arm get new arms weld some for the back of the car were the factory weld them and run a 2x3 down to rocker and tie the lower arms to them

searching woulda found you a few threads and others with sub frame conecttor set ups

and why 2 posts with the same thing ? only needed 1
first and best car owned 72 GT(changed to SS) panel wagon

I buckled the lower factory trailing arm gusset with just 150 hp and 220 lb/ft of torque from a Buick 215. The stock mounts are pretty weak. I definitely recommend some sort of additional gusseting if not connectors.
