trans dapt mounts vs alternator 72 vega

Has anyone ran the trans dapt motor mounts and also used an alternator... im using a 72 vega hatchback with the trans dapt mounts to my sbc. I need to run an alternator somehow ??????

most guys have had to fab their own for the pass. side or altered ones for that side i i have a zoops one off a BB chevy for the drivers side and i turned irt around and used it on my sbc with a little adaptation on the lower bracket. if you just want to get the easiest , no hassle bracket out there for the passenger side (dirvers side usually hits the radiator side when using trans adapt front mount) then call bills hot rod company in california (tel # 626-332-1915) and get part # 1114< which is the left side mount alternator bracket for SBC. their web site is bills hot rod company . com. be careful as there is another bills hot rod type company, so make sure you get the company i mentioned. you will like the bracket they make chevy art PS there are numerous posts and pics on forum about these brackets. punch in alternator brackets in the search area and you will find a million posts . make it easy on yourself and just go to Bills bracket. good luck chevy art

i modified a march billit aluminum alt bracket to work with the transdapt mounts but it wasnt a cheap solution, there are some pics in my garage but youd have to copy them and save to enlarge them. a cheaper solution that should work is to weld a plate andtube for the long alt bolt directly on to the transdapt motor mount,its bolted to the motor anyway so it cant move,just line up yourpulleys with a belt on before you weld to the arm then just use the old style 60 s long style upper bracket for adjustment.

v8 monza with ac pulleys and alternator mount works great.
