Too bad they don't make these anymore....

Snagged these today; the came off a 1988 Firebird drag car with a "Jegster" chassis. Vega spindles with Wilwood rotors, calipers and brackets; original caliper mounts have been sawed off and the new caliper brackets bolt onto the holes that were meant for the OEM dust shield. I checked Wilwood and they're NLA; the nearest I can figure out they were specially made for the Jeg's chassis. They're surprisingly light, especially compared to our "usual" S-10 setup. The solid rotor and small 2-piston calipers are obviously meant for a "drag race only" application. My drag car has Pinto spindles, so they're not for me; they'll be going onto my old Jeg's chassis that my brother is putting under a Cavalier(shudder).

I searched the Wilwood site, but I guess I didn't look hard enough! Good to see they still make them; funny I haven't seen any mention of them on this forum before. Maybe it's the $727.76 price; for the street I guess you could buy all new S-10 stuff for a lot less, but the claimed weight saving(35 lbs.) certainly makes it attractive for the straight line crowd. The guy I bought mine from said that they were designed to fit aftermarket drag-only spindles that had been patterned off H-body ones.

Edit: I just checked out the Aerospace ones; at $589 they're not a bad deal at all.
