BBC Install and Steering Column Mod

Postby Bob Gumm » Wed Nov 10, 2010 2:44 am

Megavega and others, I've got a BBC with 4340 crank, H-beam rods and aluminum heads that I'm going to be installing in the near future. Did you set your engine back any or install it so the tranny mount and driveshaft didn't need to be altered? Also, do you have some good pics of your steering column mod. I want to mod my column in a way that I could theoretically reinstall a small-block (if ever) without reverting back to the stock steering setup. I'm also contemplating fabbing up a rack-n-pinion steering crossmember as well so I can get the gearbox out of the way too.

Thanks,
Bob Gumm
