Cage is getting looked at tomorrow.

I cut the 10 point out from last year and had this just put in. finished enough for the cert just about now.
I'm a little behind and have a ton of motor work to do before May but I still have hope.

The engine package is still getting nailed down but I am staying with the fuel injected LS platform. We are attempting to put together what could be the most powerful N/A LS motor yet for an all motor heads up class. Should be well north of 1000hp on a single throttle body and I get to race at small block weights. :)

Well I'm a little confused by that. I thought I totally understood all the different certs. I walked in looking for a 25.5 cert (7.50 and slower) It has OEM floor pan, firewall and front frame rails. He looks at it and says no its gonna be a 25.4, I ask what the difference is and really get no answer as it didn't pass due to the inspector wanting 2 gussets added to a bar. So I have one of those fix and come back again things.

Does anyone know what the difference is and why he said 25.4 instead of 25.5? It almost looked like a 25.4 was a tube frame chassis to 7.50. I was confused.

Might be square tube vs round tube.

not sure, i have a friend working on a car right now and he has the sfi specs, its a bit funny, it seems that some of the spec variations have a few extra tubes and thats it....

you can use square tube in the same places on both. there really isn't much difference between the two. 25.4 doesn't spec rear frame rails where 25.5 does. both are 7.50 and slower @ 3600lbs no real advantage one over the other. 25.4 is designed more for tube chassis car
