Coil Spring Help

Postby MikesB12 » Sat Jun 11, 2011 3:19 pm

I have a Jegster frontend circa 1984 under a '67 Chevy Pickup. I'm needing to replace the front coils and after contacting Jegs, they recommend an early Vega non-a/c spring. The problem is finding the springs I need. The Moog 6490 is what I had my eye on, but they are for a deep pocket arm ( I have shallow pocket arms). So, I need help sourcing a pre 75 spring for a shallow pocket arm. Any suggestions? Thanks.

youll also need to cut the springs to use in a jegster front end, so you might as well just use the moog ones you found and trim to correct length as to what you have in there now. I usually remove 1 coil to use the longer springs in the early vega, it pretty simple.
