On the 8.8, I would do 9" housing ends and 31 spline, (or more), axles, much better, cheaper, and less trouble than c-clip eliminators. You can still use Ford Exploder rear discs with 9" housing ends, (got the same setup on the back of my Vega now). And I would build a dedicated crossmember tying into your frame connectors for the front torque arm mount.
