youll need to build your own headers, but with setting it back in the chassis, it all gets easier as theres more room. headers are easier then you think to build.

I also think you can keep your factory heater set up if your moving the firewall back you should have room then.

oh, thats a differnt idea of moving the firewall back then what I was thinking, I thought you were going to move the whole firewall back as 1 unit then your heater box and all would move back complete. doing it the way you cut it now, I am not sure how youll achieve that.

We put a BB in a '78 Monza stock front clip and it was a MAJOR pain in the a$$. The car is is drag strip only and we had to cut/bang,dimple,grind so many places. we almost gave up at one point the steering was exceptionally difficult, HKR hdrs fit poorly, have to use a remote oil filter mount, modified a new set of V8 front coils, put a rack and pinion in,has tubular upper control arms, you have to be a contortionist to change cyl # 7 spark plug,it runs really hot even with a super alum Griffin racing rad,.... and on and on ... (13 to 1 compression) Made the trans cross member TH400 and also has 9" Ford 4 link and rear tube chassis. It does run 9.60's though

Hooker big block Vega headers fit with the motor in the same location as the small block. They require a remote oil filter housing, the large tubes are so close to the oil pan they heat up the engine oil while driving on the street.

I picked up some 2nd gen Camaro BBC Headers at a swap meet for $25.00 and ordered some pre-bent tubing. It looks like the flange portion of the headers with upper pipes will be pretty simple. I will even be able to use a few of the stock flanged pipes in their entirety with out modifications. I will get some pictures posted soon.

I have the 2X4 box tubing frame rails installed and mig welded inplace. I will be taking out the engine to finish the new mounts and tie the front end into the frame rails. The headers have been coming along nicely. I ordered some J pipes from the speedshop and have been tacking things together. I have decided I will use slip joints on a few if the header tubes to make servicing things a bit easier. I will try and upload pictures soon.
