What shocks and springs for a stock 4 link setup?!?!

I'm SO CONFUSED! :bang:
I have a 72 coupe now I'm putting subframe connectors in don't know about cage yet(later most likely). S10 brakes up front with deep pocket lowers and AJE uppers. But what about springs and shocks? Waybad is getting me the rear control arm relocaters I have Spoohn tubular rear arms already. Motor is a 406 should be about 475hp with a turbo 350 3500-4000 stall. I appreciate your experience with getting a stock setup to stick  :th:

I used Moog stock replacement rear springs, and stock replacement KYB (I think) shocks in the rear. I used V8 Monza without AC springs in the front, and Competition Engineering 90/10 drag shocks. The Monza springs raised it higher than I expected, but this gave me more exhaust clearance, so I put 1.5" spacers under the springs in the rear to level it out. I have adjustable upper and lower rear control arms, but I set them about the same length as the stock ones.

I have a 6.0 LS that is probably making similar power, and on a prepped track (Bandimere), it sticks 99% of the time with either 235/60R15 M/T drag radials, or Hoosier 26/9.50R15 bias ply slicks. I had trouble hooking at a less prepped track (Julesberg) with the radials though, so I'm probably on the edge. I'm considering rolling the fenders so I can fit a bigger tire on it in the future.

I just beefed up the stock mounting points on the car, so I don't have aftermarket mounts that allow for setting the control arms at different angles. That's really what you need to dial in a 4-link if you're looking for perfection.

I think the adjustable length control arms just give you the ability to set pinion angle, and maybe body lean to a small degree. Don't know if there's much you can do with control arm length to increase traction, but I'd love to have that information if someone who knows more than I do has figured it out.

Notes on weight (for reference):
My current engine is an iron block with aluminum heads. Previously I had an aluminum block in it with V6 Monza springs. It sat level with the rear springs that way, but speed bumps were the enemy with long tube headers.

Hope that helps a little...

Since I posted my last reply, there's been some new developments with my setup. Anyone reading that post should read this thread before buying anything from UMI:
