Control arms

Charles, " faster than some" was going to give the details some time back, but I have not seen a posting. My comment on you spinnning thru the 1/8 mile is more related to the 4.11 gears in my opinion. I ran 3.50 gears in a combination similar to yours years back and ran low 11's with 1.64 60' times. I also tried 4.11's only to find the car blew the tires off at will and would only run 12's with that low gear. All the really fast small tire cars run a 3.50 gear or higher for the same reason. Too much power for such little tires. You may have also gained 100 hp by adjusting the valves correctly wich makes the problem worse. Roy

Hey Bigs
Sorry for the late reply,,thanks for the insight, you are right on the gears,,changed to a 3.90 on a spool and picked up 2 tenths,,so far we have dropped the et on the new combo from the mid 12's to 11.80's and picked up 8 mph,,we are not done as we have small gremlins yet,the goal is 11.50's on motor, hope one more trip to the track will iron it out,,then we start tuning for nitrous, with this combo knocking off 1 1/2 seconds should be a realistic goal staying with a max of a 150 shot to keep the motor safe,,will keep you posted,,chime in on my chasis post if you will,,thanks
