The only headers from Hooker that I know fits the Monza are the 2135's (no mods) and the 2129's (which you have to do some body panel cutting)

They are for a vega! Hooker says to move the motor back four inches, but i dont know from what point to MOVE back four inches They are 1 7/8 tube with 4" collectors. The inst. with the headers says no frame mods ??? I've got a set just dont know if i want to butcher my car up. Thanks!!

THE 4" is probably measured from the stock factory mounting position. i was able to move my engine back an 1 1/2 or so with my 2129's on my imsa but i can see no way to get 4" set back without torching the firewall and refabracation of it. good luck but you wiil have to cut!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION" read $$$$$$$$$$$" it would probably be much easier to go with a pair of 2129's .they have 1 7/8 tubes and a 3 1/2" collector and tho a bitch to install they are easier than what it will take to install yours. there are much easier sets available that bolt right in even with stock mounts and work quite well if you don't have to have the most killer set available for racing. for street use there are much better options.

small block race headers. I got a set of directions for the 2129's by calling hooker and they faxed them over. I'm not sure where they are measuring from.

Maybe no frame mods but definitely sheet metal mods. Before I did the tube chassis on mine I had the 2129's and I know I couldn't move the engine back 4" with those.

You must be building a huge sb the pumps a lot of air to be using the headers you have. I have a 427 sb with AFR220's making 650hp and I tried a set of 1 7/8's with 4" collector on the dyno only to lose 10hp and 15 ft/lbs over the 3 1/2" collector.

YES THE FLOOR IN MY IMSA IS BASICALLY STOCK,DEFINATLY THE FIREWALL AREA. THERE WERE A FEW PLACES UNDERNEATH THAT WERE "hammered" WHEN I GOT IT BUT HAVEN'T HAD TIME TO FIGURE OUT IF THEY ARE DAMAGE OR INTENSIONAL. I WILL TRY TO GET SOME PICTURES OF THE FIREWALL TO MOTOR CLEARENSE. I HAVE MOVED IT BACK FOWARD ABOUT 1/2 INCH DUE TO PLUG WIRE CONCERNS WITH MY DISTRIBUTOR THAT HAS A WIRE CLAMPDOWN CAP THAT LIMITS THE DIRECTION THAT THE WIRES CAN GO. THE REAR WIRES WERE IN MY OPINION JUST TOO CLOSE TOO THE FIREWALL AND I DIDN'T WANT TO RISK LOOSING AN EXPENSIVE SET OF WIRES DUE TO RUBING ON THE FIRE WALL. :(

I didnt know hooker made a 2311 race header. Where did you get it from and does it have to set the motor back like the stahl header??? I looked on summit and they dont list it.

they also have a 2" header as well if i,m not mistaken , these headers where designed for running prostock back in the day when everyone ran smallblocks .
