Rebirth of the Starfire

I have finally dug out my Oldsmobile from the depths of my garage.
I dragged it out last weekend and cleaned the plugs and spun her over
to get oil up then put fresh petrol in the tank and kept a little
back to pour into the carb.
Jumped it of my Range Rover after I had poured petrol into the carb
and swung it and to my surprise it fired but the pump was not working.
This weekend I dropped the tank and found the pump to be totally
gummed up so the only pump I had was an old EFI pump from the Range
Rover so with a little modifcation I got it to fit I then stripped
down the carb and cleaned it out then found the oil pressure switch
to be a little sticky so I ran a wire direct from the battery jumped
it and it started and ran as smooth as ever .
2 litres of transmisson fluid and I had drive.
Not bad for a car that has been in my garage for 10 years and not
been run at all it now starts and runs nice with no smoke or rattles.
I have now added some photo's under "my starfire"
