How to remove the lower timing gear
on a Small
Block Chevy and others

You`ll need:
one bolt
type puller
(the one you use to remove your
damper
3 3/8 inch bolts(around 3 1/2 inch long
3 3/8
nuts
one 3 inch diameter hose clamp
What you`ll
do:
simply attach the bolts to your puller
(nuts toward
the front of the car)
slip the hose clamp on the
bolts
put the head of the 3 bolts behind the
gear,and
between teeth (space them
evenly)
hold them in
place and thighten the hose
clamp(this will prevent
the bolts from
slipping on the gear)
now all
you need to do is to thighten
the pulley center
bolt

To view the drawings go in the photo album
and
look under tech tips
I used this trick for about 4
years now and
never had a problem
If you got
other nice tips then send them to
us (me denisst78
or Randy monzamiller)
