Hey there.i have put a posi in from a third gen
camaro.It has a 3:23 gear,they are both 7.5 rears so it is
just a matter of setting them up.You do need to get
the adapter bearing and race for it though-part no's
are in the F.A.Q. Along with all the other info. This
should be good for now for mw.When i build my other
406,it will be time for a 9" rear.Just a thought for
ya:)I will probably be using 205 60 15 tires on the car
also-calcs show approx.65 mph at 3000 rpm-decent for
now.

Yes your monza gear will fit on a other GM car

LSD unit
one thing you have to keep in
mind
you need one from a similar ratio
2.73 and down
use a type of carrier
3.08 and up use type of
carrier

and easy way to tell if you got the good unit

just put the two units on a FLAT surface
and
compare the ring gear seating area
if they are at the
same height then it will
fit

Now all you
have o do is to reset the backlash
(check it
before removing your present unit

I believe the split on carriers is 3.08 and down
use the came carrier and 3.23 and up use the same.
This is based from the Richmond Gear catalog. So
anyone using a 2 series gear can move up to a 3.08 and
not change carriers. Clyde
