1 put an air dam just below the radiator
(this
will make a high pressure area in front
of the rad
and a low pressure area behind it)
2 use a 3 or 4
row radiator (aluminium is a wise
choice
too)
3 make sure the rad isn`t part
plugged
(sometimes tubes inside the rad get plugged
by
deposits)
4 overdrive the water pump (pump will flow more

water and the fan will turn faster do to so
use a
larger crank pulley or a smaller water
pump
pulley)
5 instal a backing in your stock water pump

(round piece of sheetmetal that is holded by
pop
rivets summit part number BRA-3500-01
cost
5.95$)
6 use a good high flow thermostat
(summit part
number rst-330-160.....160°
rst-330-180.....180°
7
block the bypass hole in the water pump
(this is the
third hole on the passenger side
pump`s leg) if you
block it you must drill one
or 2 1/8 holes in the
thermostat to let air
bleed)
8 use a good fan (no
aluminium fans please!)
i was able to stuff a 18`` fan
in my car
summit numbers FLX-1316
16inch
FLX-1317 17inch
FLX-1318 18inch
(all those fans are
for normal rotation)
9 do not block hole in the
front area by mounting
fog lamps in them!
10 you
might want to install a pusher electric
fan in
front of the rad just to be safe in hot
wheather
and in heavy traffic
So far whit those mods NEVER
had a single problem
