Don't Do This

Tip for the day - Don't try to clean the face of
your speedometer with a damp rag. I was in the process
of installing an old 130MPH speedo in my spyder and
I thought I would just clean the face a bit before
putting it in. One swipe with the rag and instant white
paint smear. The white numbers disappeared revealing
blue numbers underneath. It's possible that I just
wiped off the oxidized top layer off the numbers but so
far they show no sign of whitening up again. Oh well
- live and learn.

HELL NO!!!

don`t clean your dial whit a
damp rag

use a Q-tip whit care and DON`T touch
the numbers

to clean the plastic lens use
PLEDGE furniture cleaner /wax it will even remove small
scratchs
if the lense has deep scratchs in it you can also
use a fine polishing coumpound and finish it whit
some PLEDGE
