4-lug wheels

I've found a set of 4-lug wheels I'd like to use,
but will soon be installing a 377SBC in my Vega. What
do I have to do to use the Monza vented rotor on my
car? I have several setups in my storage shed that
consist of upper & lower control arms, spindles,
calipers, and rotors. Can I just swap the rotors
out?

I did this swap on my 75 monza which used the
vega solid rotor. It is best to swap the entire
spindle assm on out. There is a slight difference between
spindles because of the difference in rotor width. I
believe the offset is different where the caliper fits
on. Clyde

Thanks Clyde..but one more question, if I swap
spindles, which ball joints should I use? Will the monza
spindle sit in the vega ball joint properly? Or will I
have to shave the control arms for a different spindle
to fit?

I seem to recall that monza's used bigger ball
joints, even the 75's which used the vega solid rotor
setup. So if you swap spindles I would say that you
would have to use the monza ball joints to fit the
spindle hole. Now as far as will the ball joint press
into the lower control arm, I don't really know. I am
not sure what part of the ball joint is bigger, is it
the tapered part or is it the diameter of the part
that fits into the control arm. Maybe someone can add
some info here? If you do need to use monza control
arms, they will bolt on to a vega, that I know. Clyde

it`s the tapered part that is bigger
the
monza ball joint will fit in your
vega
a-arms

but if you have a small block chevy in
it
you`ll be better whit the monza a-arms too
thay will
provide you a longer and better
choice of
springs
