another heads/engine question

I currently have a 4-bolt main 350 in my spyder
that is basically stock with the exception of a very,
very mild cam and a set of DART S/R heads (67cc
chambers; 202/160 valves). I eventually intend to build it
up a bit more (flat top pistons; more cam, etc), and
in my search for parts, I was given a set of camel
heads w/ 194 intake valves (off of a early model camaro
(z28, 1970???) with a 350/ 390hp stock engine). Is it
worth rebuilding these camel heads, or should I stick
with the DART S/R heads?? Your opinions would be
greatly appreciated.

Jim,
Use the Dart S/R's. You would have to put more money into the camel hump heads to reach the performance of the Dart S/R heads.

Just my opinion, Mike

Camel humps have their place in history, however
that place was a long time ago.

The untouched,
fresh off the shelf S/R Torquers out flow and
outperform the best ported polished camel humps ever built.
The best flowing camel casting was the 461X very rare
and probably cracked. 461, 462 are nice if they are
free, except you have no acessory holes. The most
easily adapted double humps were the 041 and 186
castings. the had the same ports as the 461/462, but they
had more metal and acessory holes were
standard.
