I have often wondered the same thing but I think
is what happened is that a lot of H-Bodies were made
into race cars during the 70's, they were quite
common. Since old race cars don't see the street/weather,
they tend to stay around a long time but those cars
that were on the street just seemed to have dwindled
away from wear and tear and rust, accidents etc. As a
result there are not that many street cars left. Let's
face it, most h-bodies were not deemed collectable and
a very small percentage of them remain. Clyde
