Hello all! I just finished putting a
griffin
radiator in my 75 town coupe. I bought the same one
as
paul(as listed in brian's site) I had to "clearance"
the
frame appx 1/4" on each side so the tanks wouldn't
rub.
For mounts, I re- used the stock system w/
some
rubber weatherstripping on the top and bottom of
the
radiator to insulate from vibrations more. I re-used
the
stock shroud and fan(really close!) the worst time
I
had was with the hoses. THey are different than
the
stock monza radiator. The lower hose fitting on
the
radiator goes up slightly. The stock hose won't work.
If
you try a flex-type hose from the parts stores,
they
are either to long or too unflexable. After
spending
appx $40 on hoses that wouldn't work for the lower,
I
finally caved and bought cool-flex hoses from
summit
racing. These things were a breeze to install. The
lower
hose was a 12" hose That I trimmed down to 8" to
fit.
Its 40 degrees outside but my car warmed up to
160
and stayed ther steady. The true tests come
this
summer. I predict a cool engine.

If
