Hey Marco, I notced on 1977 you had the 305 rated at
140hp. I thought it was 120 or 130. Was that with a 4
barrel? Not available out here in California errrrr uh

you?

Yes it
appears that we are at least getting some of the big
snow...there is about 2 feet of snow to be brushed off my
silver car today.ugg.
For horsepower rating...I went
by the books I have seen which claim..(for the 'low
altitude' 305ci 2bbl models)..1977..was 140
1978 was
145
and 1979 was,130<--that was due too the new
Rochester 'Dualjet' carburator,and I think a more
restrictive catalytic converter. The tourque was a bit lower
too, But it came on in the powerband sooner,and the
carb was a smoother,so, I imagine acceleration,was
still just as snappy.
