Heres another good question, but hard to
answer...to completely simplify it i would say take the total
number of H's built..750,000 I believe for the HS cars
alone, I may be wrong.
And multiply by .02 .
I
absolutely believe that the world is down to the last 2
percent of Hs cars. probably even less for the Vega and
Astre 'H' cars.
I would also assume that they are
more scarce than Nova's...but just about as plentiful
as the Corvairs. which lived a similarly
misunderstood life as the H bodys.
And there's still quite
an aftermarket for the 'vairs.
In June of 97' it
was stated by Automotive Information Clearinghouse
that there were 937
V8 spyders left, still
registered and licenced.
I dont know how they would have
tracked which ones were spyders..this may have been a
guestimate based on how many were produced vs. how many
actual monza V8 models were left on the road. This would
indicate that maybe there were a few thousand more non
spyder V8s.
And then of course there are the sister
cars..
