Can you remove a vacuum booster and bolt it strait up to the firewall to save a bit on vacuum or maintenence? Just curious...Thanks

Um, well certainly yes, but probably, well maybe
no..

If you are talking about removing
the power brake booster on a vega or monza, and just
using a straight up,master cylinder, then yes it can be
done, many cars came like this from the factory..

Its not as simple as just unbolting and removing your
existing vacuum booster.
Your best bet would be to
find a complete manual brake monza/vega in the parts
yard and take the brake pedal assembly..

Save a bit on vacuum? Not exactly sure what you mean by that. Removing the brake booster will not give you any more vacuum than you had before. Clyde

Ok maybe 1 less part to deal with for my brakes are a bit touchy, I think its the proportionary valve thingy.
