marco,N.Y. state registration?

marco,bought a car out of a junkyard,cash no
recipt was the only way the owner would let me have
it,and of course no title.since ohio wont register
anything at all,ive heard its fairly easy to register old
cars in new york.a guy told me you just basically
drive up there,go to the local bmv,give them some
address and they give you a title and liscence plates.is
that true??
ohio would NEVER do that,here if you
purchase a junkyard vehicle,it had better be showroom cond
if you want to drive it on the street,the state
inspectors will fail you for missing an air cleaner or if
they dont like the color or you for any reason.they
can also permentlly impound your ride with no reason
given.anyway.let me know,i might be on the way upstate if that is
the case
