ok,i gotta put a stop to the madness. those of us
who are into h-bodies,make up a very small portion of
the general population.when you figure only about 40
percent of the total u.s. and canada pop is into cars at
all,the ones who are into monzas/hbodies have got to be
one percent of one percent, thats why they all laugh
when i drive the 75 down to the car show, they dont
laugh when they hear the gear drive and 11-1.anyway,my
point is that we are a very small,VERY small segment of
the car enthusiast crowd.the reason for this post is
that im getting tired of seeing monza ads on the
internet for anything above 4,000$ even to one of US,if im
going to shell out 4k for a monza,it had better be a
freakin mirage with 1000
orig miles on it.i love these
cars and i know all you guys do too,but lets face
it,the guy in so cal that wants 8000$ for a '75 coupe
with a 4cyl?
just say no to crack!!!!!!! that car
is worth no more than 500$,even if it is rustfree
and all there,$500.take it to a car show and tell the
gearheads you want "only" 8 grand for your '75 coupe.and
thats only one ad ive seen, another one ,i think in
iowa.guy had a '77 spyder"with some rust"(we know what
that means)and he wanted 3600$,and it was a v6 auto
with a/c car, give me a freakin break.marco is prob the
hbody authority, but someone please post what you think
hbodys are worth in the REAL world, please.here's my 2
cents:coupes are worthless, unless there orig v8 cars that have
a fact 4speed.this is what i look for when buying a
monza:
hatchback,4 headlight car a must
orig v8 car with
everthing there a plus
manual trans a plus
NO a/c a
major plus
little rust as possible.
i believe
that kinda hbody would bring the biggest bucks, ive had
18 of them and thats just my experience.you guys
have any thoughts? i challenge anyone to show me a
monza that would bring more than 4k on the open market

I hope in the future though, my red spyder may
turn a nice coin if i keep it nice. But even a mint,
low milage ,Pristine original, shouldnt double its
original price...otherwise thats the great thing about
these gems is they can be had for cheap.
My red
spyder and green 76 are both new york cars and they have
no rust,especially the green 76

It is most
definately the winter/salt/lack of care/and poor storage
that eats these cars, not the state, lol. As a matter
of fact cars can be especially nice from Ny because
the paint keeps very well here, although Ny has some
of the most acidic rain of anywhere in the US.

Thanks to all who post here..
Marco
