Marco
Are you refering to the portions that
contain the ashtrays beside the rear seats?, if so, they
were a total loss (faded, flaking & chalky when
scratched) and I got rid of them when I met up with Jon in
Utah. I do need the felt (carpeting material) postion
of the rear area that sits on the rear wheel wells
(I think that is the part that is glued in) and I'm
missing one piece of black plastic, the strip on the
driver's side above the door, that also covers the upper
seatbelt attachment and stretches out to the back of the
car. I do have the kick panels for an air conditioned
car in tan.

$5 sounds acceptable to me, but all in good time.
I need to get the car safetied before I can get it
plated and licenced for 'legal' driving (the 1-trip
permit was only really good for the trip from Cali to
home). That may take a bit due to the fact I need to
find a decent mechanic. I'm still playing with her in
the meantime, cleaning up the interior, repolaced the
door panels with black that I got from Utah. having
problems with the dashcover though. It is in terrible
shape and needs replacing. I thought I could get it
redone but I was told it was impossible to do, since it
was an injection mould that formed the dashcover in
the first place. What do you know about this? He told
me I could only hope to find a used dashcover in
decent shape, and put a dash cover on it.

You can get the dash re-done but it probably isn't cheap. Give Just Dashes a call or email and let us know how you make out. http://justdashes.com/index.html Clyde

Hi Clyde
Thanks for the tip, I'll send them an email and see what they want for the dash restoration and I'll post a price on the site for everyone's knowledge.

Hi Clyde
For anyone who may be interested. I
emailed "Just Dashes" and got some numbers from them for
restoration of Monza parts.
- Dashpad restoration in
black $450,colour $500
(need core and colour
sample) - dashpad will
NOT have the fake stitch
pattern on it!!!
- Centre Console Restoration
$250-$400
(need core and colour sample)
- Door panel
restoration $400-$450
(need old door panels)

Kind
of pricy methinks. Especially when I consider the
Canadian dollar as it is. I'll keep looking for a decent
dashpad and repaint it if I have too, same for the centre
console. Thanks anyways for the info Clyde.
Bryan
