BUILDING A BUICK V6 231

I'm building a 231 v6, I know the factory HP is
110 hp.
This is the Hi Performer parts I'll put on
it:
FORGED PISTON .030 OVER
HOLLEY 1850 4 BBL VAC SEC 600
CFM.
EDELBROCK COMBO, PERFORMER ALUMINUM INTAKE, EDELBROCK CAM
204-214 AND SPRINGS.
MSD 6A IGNITION.
How much HP
and TORQUE I will gain with all these
parts???
Please let me know if all these parts are worth the
money.

I bet you could jump the motor up to about 170
easy hosepower with those mods. The motor wont run out
of steam at 4500 rpm like on the stock setup,that
will help performance alot.
At 2700 pounds thats
about 16 pounds per Hp. good for snappy perfomance,and
Great handling too boot.
If you dont have to work a
ton of hours too afford all the buildup items you
mentioned,then I would say its worth it.

Alex:

Consider porting the heads as
defined in the Buick Free Spirit Power Manual and port
matching the intake to the heads. You should also include
headers as part of you package even though they can be a
pain in the ass. An engine is an air pump. The more
air you can get through it the more power you will
make.

PS: Don't forget the pressure and volume mods to the
oil pump / system. Very important.
