I was wondering today....what the fastest,
regular production H body was?(in a quarter mile and 0 to
60 acceleration run)..
Any speculations?
The cars would have to have regular production axle
ratio's and engine's and have been produced over 500
units.
I think this would eliminiate the 63 V8 trunk
model sunbirds made in 1978. The year with the highest
horsepower available...(145hp in the 305)
So maybe a
monza with round headlights and a V8, I know this was
possible in the hatchback models with round lights.
I'm not sure If you could get a trunk model but I
dont see why not.
I also think that the automatics
had better quarter mile times from the factory. So it
would have to be a V8 auto I guess.
Or would a
cosworth vega be the victor?
Probably on a road
racing course.
Anyhow, any other guesses?
maybe a cali 350 4bbl? oh wait, no one knows if those
even existed from the factory!
