Karl,
if you use the 2135 (oem
mounts)
you`ll have to cut a part of the bellhousing for
clearance(manual trans)
if you use the large ring gear i
suggest a high torque mini starter (anyway a good starter
will always help)
they kinda fit thight but you`ll
love the upgraded performance

any question
just e-mail me

hooker headers

I run hooker super comps I believe the jegs part
no is520-2129. I run stock mounts welded. turbo 350
the only clearance problems I had was with the large
400 flex plate.It puts my starter too far over,wont
clear header. I run a small 350 flex plate with a 400
balance plate added. As for performance it runs 10s with
a 175 horse shot of nitrous. hope this helps.also I
run a tilton mini starter.

Karl,
the best paint i used for headers is
made by
VHT i like to use the aluminium
one
after the headers are blasted
clean them whit paint
thinner to remove all
gresy residus
let them
dry
heat them a bit whit a propane torch (not
a
lot,just to remove the humidity and burn the
unwanted
residus) heat them just enough to
feel them hooter at
htge touch of the hand
then paint them whit several
light coats
let them dry
once they are
dry
install tehm in the car carefully and
let the car idle
a bit this will hardeb the finish
or
before
install them put them in your oven or in a barbecue (be
sure the wife isn`t there!!)

hey karl;
you might want to consider having
the coated by jet hot or some other company. its a
little costly, but its worth every penny. i had them
done on a 74 corvette that i put a tune port on and
the under the hood heat dropped about 70 degrees! you
could put your hand right next to the header while it
was running and barely feel the heat! the last time i
did it was my hooker super comps for my camaro. four
years ago and they still look great! those were
aluminum/ceramic coated.
