Hello, well the guy that came over told me that
he will do this when he finds the time, i think he
may have a problem, since he is reproducing a factory
gm part, which he may get in trouble for?...is it
illegal to reproduce a part?...this i was told by
others...any input?.... Karl

For the most part, no, he will not be in trouble.
If he plans on mass-producing this part for profit,
then yes, there is a stringent licensing process he'll
have to go through to be approved by GM before being
allowed to sell the product. (i.e. Stencils & Stripes
went through this process to reproduce the Monza
Spyder decals) But in general, he can make a handful of
them without any problems imho.

I thought those parts were made by Michagian automotive techniques, not GM and they from what I can tell are out of business now
