mounting strips

I have read several times that some people have
had luck in using plastic moulding for wall paneling
to mount their mirage panels. I would like to do
this but I have'nt had any luck in finding it. I know
most people say they found it at home depot but there
is'nt one near me just Lowes. If anybody could tell me
what to look for I would greatly appreciate it.

Go to the wood paneling department at the Lowes
store and look for the mounting peices for the
paneling. They always stick them in some corner. They
should have about 4-5 different styles and when you see
the end peice one, you will know it. They should only
be about $2-3 bucks for a 8 footer. I hope this
information is helpful.

Thanks for the help, I don't normally go to
Lowe's for car parts but whatever works. I found what
you have described and I think they'll work and BTW
they're called end caps if anybody else asks or needs the
same pieces.

P.S it may be known but if you have problems having the strips conform to the curves in your flairs, cut upside down V's out of the bottom of the strips, like the originals.

Thanks, I'm glad you pointed that out because I
did'nt know that the originals were cut like that. I
did'nt have mounting strips on mine originally so I
mounted them right to the body and filled in the holes.
I'm now redoing the entire car and want to do
everything the right way.

Hey,
I am glad that so many people took my
suggestion to use the strips from Home Depot or Lowes,
etc.
However, I do have a question to anyone that has
experience in repairing the cracked spoilers. The ones on
the trunk seem to crack on the ends. Is there a
product that is best used to repair them?
