Marco, yes, I've shipped a set of Mirage panels
before. In one box, I shipped all four side panels, and
the second box contained only the rear spoiler. I had
to take "several" of my own boxes and took almost an
hour cutting and taping and creating my "own" large
box to contain them. The problem was, that after I'd
gotten all four panels in there, the box was too large
for UPS to ship. My box exceeded the maximum size
total constraints of 130 inches (length + girth, where
girth is 2 x width plus 2 x height). I was running at
about 160 inches. So I went to the post office and
tried there.... but unfortunately they also have a
limit of 130 inches. Long story short, I belive FedEx
has a larger limit, but what I ended up doing was
playing dumb at the post office and they took the package
without measuring it. I shipped it from Illinois to coast
of Virginia with no problems.
My suggestion
would be to make seperate boxes for "each" of the rear
quarter panels. Those boxes should not exceed the max
130". As for the front panels, you can combine them
with no problem into the same box and ship. I'd ship
the front & rear spoilers in their own boxes as well,
just to protect them from being broken because they
"WILL" get tossed around. I've got another set of Mirage
panels to ship out in the next week or so myself so I'll
be going through this again.
My third set of
panels is still up for sale if anyone wants them....
Good luck Marco.
Ken
