monza v6 229 swap parts

Any info on 229 paarts,(y-pipe,which engine mount
plates and brackets,short or long water pump,)
I know
some came factory this way and I would like to use all
factory parts.
The subject car is a 1980 coupe w/151
4cyl.This already has the chev. bell hsg. & 4spd.

JS,
Sorry, but these came with the buick 231,
not the chevy 229. You would be pot luck fitting this
engine into your car, however it is not impossible. You
can do anything you need to, Might try to find a V6
parts car and check the mounts to see if they are the
same for the 229.
If you do not have the engine
already, go for the 231 Buick V6, you won't be
disappointed.

the buick also came in 3.2l and 4.1l in addition to the 3.8l 231ci.

wow - I recently found some 3.2 liter v-6 badges
in my parts pile and never could figure out what
they were from. I was planning on using them on my 5.7
Monza to keep it a
sleeper.

Thanks for the response.After I posted this
message, I found out that the 229 never came in the
Monza.The reason for wanting to do this is this:I have
access to a 60,000 mile 229(cheap), and my car already
has the chevy bellhousing.I do not have access to
parts cars with the required Buick bell housing and
necessary flywheel.

Do you have the actual factory 5.7 emblems or was your Monza a factory 5.0?

Actually, my car is currently a 2.5 4cyl,but it
shares the smallblock bellhousing,(v6 229 also).I am not
sure what I want to do.I am thinking cheeeeep!I may
have access to a complete 4spd v8 parts car.I just
wanted to avoid a smallblock swap so I am not tempted to
build a 350 horse engine.With a 6, te temptation won`t
be there.(I am almost done an 11sec. Chevelle
Wagon!!!
