To cam or not to cam.

Phil, I had a bracket racing cam grind with the
offy intake and the 4bbl. Stock it just did not want
to take the gush from the accel pump on the carb.
Only had the problem on sudden tromp of the pedal.
Slow off idle till 1500 rpm then mashing it
to the
floor seemed to work but was hard to get used to. I am
working up an inventory of all the things I have to sell.
The cam helped alot but I was still jetting it out
when the #4 slug melted down to the oil control ring.
Seems the machine shop I had do the work screwed up the
boring and sleeving. Thankfully they are out of biz. The
offy intake I would like to get at least $100.00 for
it . The carb I'll let go for $75.00 as it probably
needs to be rebuilt. Make sure that as with any engine
that it is better to run too rich then too lean. Email
