You can leave the power brake booster in . I have
a 1980 Monza notch back that I put in a 350 300hp
motor in. I used the Hooker mounts and the super
competition headers and everything fit fine leaving the power
brake booster in. The instructions say it wont't work ,
but for a street car the power brakes are a + . If
you want to swap over to manual brakes you will need
at least the rod that goes from the brake pedal to
the master cylinder. The master cylinder should mount
directly to the firewall once the brake booster is
removed. The turbo 400 is a very heavy transmission , I
think you will be fine with the turbo 350. My plans are
to replace the 4 speed with a powerglide which can
be a very strong drag racing transmission.
