I just posted a few photos of the Vega's I have
owned in the past and the one I am building now. I just
got done putting a 12-bolt posi under the car and
soon to be starting on the S10 spindles and the roll
bar install. I am also putting a 400 SB in the car
with a 700R4 trans if any one has done this set up
before any suggestions or tips would be greatly
appreciated ----Kenny

Hi Kenny :) sounds like you got a similar
project, it all sounds excellant! One thing though, are
you sure you want to goo with the 700r4? I have seen
alot of tranny failure with this trans.Maybe you
should go with a turbo 350 or 400...Personally i think
one of these trannys would be the way to go.Just my
input...Keep up the good work! Iam doing about the same as
you...wrench, wrench, wrench...Karl :)

Hey Karl, I wanted to use a 700R4 because I like
to drive my cars to the track. But your right a
turbo 350 or 400 would be better and I may end up going
that way. The car was painted Viper Blue looks pretty
close to the color of the Vega wagon under "V6 VEGA
CONVERSION" Man I love that color.I will be posting photo's
of the paint job soon. Thanks, Kenny :)

a well built th-700 will hold up
very
well...if built propely a stock
won`t live very long
behind a built engine...
I got one in my spyder with
450+ hp
so far no problem after 6 years

p.s.
they do take a little bit more HP
then a
th-350

by they do take a bit more HP
i mean they
take more HP just to turn
them more gears and
clutches
when properly built they will withstand
almost the
same HP and Torque level
then a th-350
