can a guy mount a BBC into a Vega, by using the
same type mount as the Hooker mounts, of course
modified to fit the block. Will this work like doing a
small block? Would like to do one without tearing up
the whole car. HELP. thankx

Hi Marc, you might want to check out
www.v8monza.com/. Bob Gumm has added a new section called "the
catalog", it has mostly Don Hardy stuff, but he does offer
a "front sub frame assembly", that's available for
either a BBC, or a SBC. Good luck, hope this helps, Bob.

Hi Marc, while I was surfing, I came across an
item at ebay motors. You may want to take a look at
it. He has a big block in it, and didn't change any
body lines. Item # 593692664 "Looks pretty good"!!

A BBc is a very good choice in a vega.My
sugestion would be to use an aluminum motor plate in the
front and a mid plate between the eng /trans and also
use a transmission crossmember to round out the
installation. You will want to locate headers that will work for
your swap as well.Hooker seems to be one of the best
out there but can be a bit pricey. The other thing to
consider is the added weight on the nose and the fact that
you will definitely need subframe connectors of some
type! Hope this helps! Bill in Az....
