i own a 76 monza towne car it has a 350
auto,elderbrock perfomer intake its a real sleeper nothing better
then setting at a light
and people looking at me
ass end when i live them in the dust..has anyone had
problems with trottle cables i`ve broken 4 of then in the
one summer i`ve had it on the road..and also would
like any info on headers..still running stock would
like too daul it out..

There is not too many things that I can think of
that would break throttle cables. One thing that you
must check is that the cable linkage is adjusted so
that the pedal hits the floor or some other type of
positive stop when the butterflies on the carb are
completely open so that you are not putting excessive
pressure on the cable and carb when you mash the pedal to
the floor. I use a Lokar throttle cable available
from Summit which is adjustable and works well. There
really is very little pressure on the cable, it's only
opening the carb butterflies and this should not be a
problem for the cable. Good luck, Clyde

thanks for the info..its probully my carb its junk
but soon to be changed with a tunnelram with 650 holley`s as soon as i get my taxes back..
