Well, I don't know of a header panel by itself
that you can get, but I do know of a "very" nice '80
Starfire that's for sale for "cheap". Talk to Wade at
wlshls@worldnet.att.net and maybe you and he can hook up. Here's Wade's
short description of the car:
"...I guess I'll ask
around $600 or so. She's in really good shape, but
around here H-bodies just aren't worth a lot. Anyone
interested in a clean 1980 Starfire? Red w/white interior,
PS 231, 4 spd (according to Oldsmobile, one of about
2500 made)..."

Ken -- Ken here (I just had to do
that....)

I actually e-mailed him about the car, was really
just curious about it but I might have my wife
interested in it :-) Since retiring the "Silver Bullet"
after the 1997 season (got eaten alive in G-Stock by
the Ford Probes and Eagle Talons, was the only gar in
GS at Solo II Nationals with a carburetor!) we've
been racing her Mazda RX-7. But we want to get her
something else so we can really put some go-even-faster
goodies on the car and not have to drive it daily.
Believe it or not, she asked me what was the closest
airport to Columbia my employer (TWA) flys into, as in
"lets fly over, get it and drive it
home....."

It would be interesting to have 2 1980's in the same
household, given that I found out there were only 8200 or so
built in 1980. You never know, Chelsea does like red
cars.........
