Kenneth, I have a sagging drivers side door on my
1977 Monza too. The proper fix, as long as the body
itself is not mis-aligned, is to take the door off, and
drill out the old tack weld that holds the old hinge
pin in. Then hammer out the old pin. There are new
hinge pins and bronze shims that will set your sagger
right. This process is difficult and time consuming. I
hope this helps. mrmonza

all you have to do is remove the hinge pins and
replace the hinge pins and brass bushings. there is no
need to drill out any spot welds at all. the wost
thing you can run into is the holes that the brass
bushings fit into can get damaged as i am shure yours are
if you can not close the door. you then will have to
weld up the hole and redrill them so the bushing will
fit in snugly. after this is done you may have to
adjust the latch striker. you can do this by losening it
and moving it up down in or out to make the door
close properly. hope this helps you
