The tranny is from a 92 305 camaro, oh and i have
spun a bearing, this set up revs very quick and a
dummy that ran the 5000mile old motor on oil that had
been in for 6 months setting over winter(me) should
have knew better. i did the b&w gov recal kit and went
middle spring and weight only on one side of the inners.
normal shifts are very high a round 2800 to 3200 under
light throttle. and with the B&w shift improver kit at
street level the shifts are very hard. I keep my head on
the headrest when she hits. I will say this only put
this kit in with the tranny out, 1 of the spring
changes is very hard with the puppy installed in the car.
the shifts went to 5800 in 1st and to 6200 in second.
I got to 5500 in drive before i got worried about
reckless driving ticket and backed out. but over all it
was a great fix to the lazy stock set up, a new crank
this weekend and pinning the rod bearings. I will be
back running again.

usually tuned port equiped camaro
shifter high
what you could do is put heavier
springs and/or weights

Denis
p.s. those trans can be a real pain to adjust
correctly
