Well due to wrecking my 71 montecarlo I had to
put my strip car on the road I have some info on
somethings you should not do.
1:do use a monza oil pan or
one from moroso or milidon or you will have to jack
up motor about 1 1/2 inches higher to clear
centerlinkand it will barely clear strg rod on headman headers
and I love headman headers (YOU CAN SEE AND CHANGE
ALL PLUGS VERY EASILY)
2:If you redrill the rotors
on monzas they will have plenty of strength cause a
friend went scca solo1 racing and has never broke a
rotor.
3:S10 rearends will fit directly in with trailing arms
or cut down S10 springs (check out april 2000 car
craft and steve magnantes chevette w the caddy
motor).
4:until you replace the front spindle/rotor from an S10
you will have to install an adjustable brake valve in
the rear line or the rear brakes will lock on wet
roads (with the 76 and up proportioning valve and
master cylinder) do not keep 75 and down valve and
mastercyl. It wont support the bigger brakes(with S10 rear
and spindles)
5:I have sucessfully used the
duals(slightly modified ) off of my 71 monte on my monza and
Flowtech afterburners work and sound great.
6: If
anybody wants to ask any questions let me know at
