Well I have an some ideas on the subject.
I
had a 75 buick skyhawk i draged in 90 and i redrilled
the axles from a 76 and up rear end (drilled for 5 on
4& 1/2 pattern) and i used a 14x7 with a 3 in back
space and 215 60 14's that worked well.
And now for
present day I am driving a 75 factory v/8 monza I have
15x7 ralleys with 225 50 15 on the front as i
redrilled the rotors for 5 on 4 3/4 (would recommend 5 on 4
1/2 for space reasons but my rallyes arechevy
patternso,,,,)now on the rear i installed an s 10 rear end on cut
down springs and have 15 x 8 coevette ralleys and 255
60 15 tires and all i have used was the centers from
93 up camaro rotors as spacers( cut out on lathe and
fit axle hube great) and this eliminated the torquw
arm and panhard bar.
the next warm spell I'm gonna
go get the 15 x 8.5 outlaws off my wrecked 71 monte
and bolt them on with 275 60 15s (3 5/8 back space)
as for slicks I recomend either 26x8x15 or 26x9x15
slicks if available 28 inches seems about as big as is
fesible but if you can get some 29x9 or 30x9 stock
eliminator slicks it would probably work but will need more
gear. so far my car with small cam(accell super ram
/john lingenfelter hyd cam ) 991s opened up to 1.94's
355 old edelbrock scorpion1 intake 600 competition
AFB and headman headers duals and afterburners turned
down at axle.THIS THING RUNS!!! And i think by the
tach at road speed i have either 3.42's or 3.73's(open
for now darn it) and my tranny is TCI THM350 with
saturday night special.
good luck and if you have
anyquestions let me know here or email me at
