Help with cut up car????

Hello,
I need your help. I bought a cosworth
vega that a guy had cut the dash out of (was going to
make a
race car out or it)and need some help. Even
though the VIN number is still attached to the
structure
that structure has been removed from the car. I
need to get it inspected because i bought it from
out
of state and the Hiway Patrol does not consider
this a valid VIN since it has been removed from
the
car. So i need to know if anyone knows where
there is another VIN number located on the car so i

can give them the location so they can confirm that
yes this is the car and allow me to get it
inspected.
The car has been tubbed and a 4 link
installed. The car is tubbed and the floorboards from the
firewall back have been removed
as well as all the
original rear suspension. However the front frame section
and suspension and inner
fender well structure is
intact. The firewall has also been replaced with a
aluminum one.
I am hoping there is a VIN number
stamped in the body somewhere or on the front frame

area/structure/core support. Any help would be appreciated. My email
is
denali@akita.com . Thanks
