Front Suspension Tips:

I have been using a piece of 5/8" I.D. Clear
Vinyl Tubing and forcing it around the upper two coils
to act as an isolator between the spring &

body.

At the open end of the coil, I glue a 5/8" Rubber
Bypass Plug (Motormite #02252) and trim off enough
tubing for it to fit flush. This method works much
better and is thinner than the Monza rubber isolator, GM
part #356398.

When trying to align the tang in
the upper spring pocket, the black plug really stands
out and aids in the installation process.

I
couldn't find a decent press-fit upper control arm
extension bumper, so I used a pair of bolt-in snubbers from
a 1968 Chevrolet Nova. The GM part number is
3858017 and they are a direct bolt-on swap to the Vega
spring perch.

I hope this information is
helpful...Robert
