The Black Vega is one that I found in the GM H Body Photo Album. Because it is Black, I decided to use it as the Home Page Car until mine gets painted...Robert

I am painting the car GM Code 12 Black Enamel.
The interior is Black Cloth with Red Piping and
Stitching. The Simpson 5-Point harnesses are also
Red.

I am not sure about graphics or not. Take a look
in my photos at the shot of the car sitting in the
garage. Look on the wall behind the car and you will see
a poster a friend made for me that shows the black
Vega from the Club without the stripes. I think it
looks better.

I had considered a 13" wide red
stripe right down the center of the car, but I kinda
want to keep it low key.

The car will have
'Yenko' badges at all four corners, a 'Yenko' licnese
plate frame and 'Yenko Tuned' window decals. Wheels are
15X6" Corvette rallye's (Painted factory Argent color)
with White Letter Goodyear Eagle P 205/60/15's all the
way around. No center caps or trim rings.

The
idea is to give the car a bare-bones factory hot rod
look. Something like a cross between a 1957 Black Widow
Chevrolet and a Pontiac T-37. I even removed the chrome
around the doors.

I still have the transmission
tunnel opening to weld closed and the boxing of the
front crossmember. After that, it's just the body and
paint.
