You read that right. I pulled an all-nighter and basically finished a blogging addon for the Garage. No one else here has one setup but it's quite easy to do.

I have yet to create the "Create Blog" link so hang tight. For an example of how it can work, visit this page and look at the Vehicle Blog section: garage.php?mode=view_vehicle&CID=1

You should see my first entry. If you click on the date you will get the whole post. As of right now, anyone can post to your blog. I don't want it setup tha tway so I have to work out the permissions issues. That shouldn't be too hard.

I hope you like. You aren't limited to any number of postings and you should be able to use BBCode there (although I haven't tested that).

Later,
Colin

Colin,

I like it! We can finally add some detailed information about our cars. And another place to browse. Good work. Get some sleep!

SWEET! I LIKE IT!

Pictures are nice, but I thought we needed a space to talk about the technical part of our cars.

Oh and Colin, I have the EXACT same Yenko ad in my Astre file! Must've been a popular ad!

Cool!

Maybe I can move my turbo article to a blog format. It will take the pressure off Dennis when I have changes.

Colin, is there any maximum length to a garage blog entry? Can I post pictures, too?

:)

Hey Colin, how do we add stuff to the new Blog area. I can't see anything, or have you not turned it on yet?

I have some more coding to do yet. The administrator console isn't done, either is the user console. I've been thinking about maybe linking this to the classifieds module so that people can leave comments. I'll finish the garage portion first.

No, images can't be used at this time. Sorry.

Ditto that! This site is what we've needed for quite some time. Not to dis Bob Gumm's efforts, but the v8monza site is pretty dead. People still can't post pictures over there. I do try to drop in there once in a while, but this THE home for H-body enthusiasts.

Thanks, Colin!

haha..

Yes. I'm waiting on phpBB v3 to come out. The guy that wrote phpBB Garage is going to have BBCode in the Garage and I'll be able to incorporate that into the Blog.

I think we have all the 1s and 0s we need; it's just a matter of putting them in the right order. :)

In Gearhead: Colin is waiting for the '383 with FI' to arrive which will replace the "283 with 2BBL" 'engine' that currently runs the Garage section resulting in more 'power'.
