Private messages?

Is the private message system working?

I sent a couple out yesterday and haven't heard back from anyone yet but some have had new posts since then.

I'm looking into it. We're running on php 5.0 now and I know there are some minor issues. I haven't found a definite solution yet.

I just tested the system and it worked for a couple of test messages. I'm not denying your problems, just saying it basically still works.

Well the PM system does work.

If you don't have e-mail notification of a PM turned on you probably won't notice that you have some.

There are a bunch of guys who probably have PM's.

I suggest you check.

Thanks

Yeah, I'm looking into a notification on the main forums page that tells you you have new PMs (it's a common mod on a lot of forums). I'm new to phpbb and all so it might be a while. Colin could probably have it set up within minutes. :)

OK, problem solved. I added some code that was deleted in the template switch and also modified the javascript for the private message popup.

Colin, I have a slight problem, I had 2 PM messages today , Read the 1st one, checked it, deleted it, and the 2nd got deleted too without being checked. Any way to retrive it? I Deleted Brians, lost Nic's. Or do I have Nic resend it? Doug In Az 8)

I've tested the private message system many times with finding any problems. I guess i'll look into it again.

I'll let you know what I come up with.
