ratings system

Postby mldeolde » Sat Dec 16, 2006 10:23 pm

the way i understand it is this. people have to take the time to go to your garage site and rate your car- someware between 1-10 to a 10-10 . i don't know if there is anything preventing the owner from voteing for his car over and over. it would be nice to have pics on the site but there is at least one available on his website. his on site persona, Motion Vega, may be a little misleading but he does seem to have a really nice car.

1-10 i dont understand what the two numbers mean
is it rated from 0 to 10 like clydes car would be a 10 and a car pulled straight from a feild would be 0

and i couldn't see how the top rated car just has a quater mile time in there no pics or info on his car other than whats on his site

Unfortunately, few people vote. The more that people vote the more likely the results will be more accurate.

The scale is from 0 through 10 with 10 best the highest quality.

As far as voting for your only vehicle is concerned, you cannot do that. You are prevented from voting for your own vehicle.

I don't understand that either. My car is only rated 22/30!! :p

Some of these # can be manipulated very easily.

Most viewed vehicle for instance.
Bring up your vehicle's garage page, & hit refresh 10 times.
You now have 10 more views. (My son showed me that little feature).

i still would like to see new members have to come up with at least basic info on thier rides. i 've found it very frustrating to see new member after new member with no info or nearly none. if nothing else i go there being excited to see what the new member has and what he has done only to find no usefull info at all. very frustrating. anybody else feel the same way or am i just expecting to much????

Ray don't sell your car or yourself short. With just the metal work you have done I'd rate your car at least a 4 ! :)

I apologize. I was allowing Guests to interact with the garage. I now only allow them to browse.

Yes, my car has been rated three times. ;)

Yeah I think you should be rated a little higher too. At least you are doing the work, and not letting it sit.

That's why I deleted the 1 rating so that your car can be rated correctly.

If anyone else feels that they are being rated unfairly let me know and I will try to correct it.
